Preston Kuppe Guild is part of the Seattle Children’s Hospital Guild Association. This organization is the largest volunteer association of any hospital in the nation. Our guild, along with 450 guilds with 6200 guild members together raise millions of dollars for Children's each year. In 2015, Seattle Children’s provided an unprecedented $120.6 million in uncompensated care. And guilds such as ours typically raise about 20% of that amount to help fund that tremendous gap. Due in large part to the uniqueness of items donated by the generous artists of the NW Art Alliance which attract our loyal auction attendees, the Preston Kuppe Guild has raised nearly $900,000 in support of uncompensated care since 2007.
The Preston Kuppe Guild was formed in 2000 in honor of Seattle Children’s patient Preston Kuppe. He is a friend of the guild who wouldn’t be the happy, healthy child he is today without the quick, accurate diagnosis of his acute condition at birth by a Children’s trained physician. Because of Preston’s care and the care millions of other children have received at Seattle Children’s over the years, we volunteer our time to fundraise for uncompensated care and research. It is our hope that each child no matter what their family’s financial circumstances are, gets the quality care they need.
Art a la Carte is our way of bringing you local community art, combined with a fabulous event while funding research and uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s. We cannot do this without you! Please consider donating or attending our event. If you are interested in joining this dynamic, fun, organized and effective group of women, we’d love to have you aboard.
Last year we raised over $150,000 (our best ever)! Our guild is one of the top 20 revenue-producing guilds and each year we top our fundraising goal and have fun doing it!
